COACHES AND ASSISTANTS NEEDED: Please indicate this on the registration form.
JERSEYS: Jerseys can be worn year after year. They are available for $20 at the PRYC front desk.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: Please do not request players to be placed together on teams. Our program does not work in that manner.
REFUNDS: *Refunds will be issued in November for a $20 processing Fee. December-Season End $35 fee. *Players who are trying out for the school team will be refunded the registration money if they make the team! Simply email Blair Gantz at bgantz@pryc.org for a refund request.
SITE MONITORS: During game play, parents will be placed on a rotating schedule of monitoring the door and hallways leading up to the gym space. TBD
CLOSED PRACTICES: All practices are closed. This means that parents will drop off and pick up only. No spectators. No exceptions.
SITE FEE NOTICE: All PR facilities are kept locked, secure and under camera surveillance at all times. In order to maintain this security and closed doors, one family member of the PRYB participant will be required to “man the door” for one hour or possibly two hours. The task would be to open and shut the door, and keeping sure that the door is never propped. The school district will be paying close attention to this at practices and games and if there are any problems or the door is found unattended, left open or propped, then a site manager will be appointed by the school district and a $50 player fee will be due by all participants of the affected school immediately to the PRYC to pay for this cost. Failure to pay the $50 fee will result in the players’ immediate cancellation from the PRYB program with no refunds. You will not be required to police other people’s children. A parent/door rotation model will be created by coordinators and given out prior to the first practice.
In addition to this request, it is extremely important that good behavior on the part of the players, coaches and parents be paramount to maintain the opportunity for continued use of these facilities. We have to work together as a team. The PR School District has made it very clear that due to the actions of some, we are now on high watch. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
SNOW DAY POLICY: If the PR School District is closed due to snow or inclement weather, all scheduled evening activities are cancelled. When schools are operating under a one or two-hour delay, evening activities are on as scheduled. If school is closed on Friday, all Saturday’s activities are as scheduled unless otherwise noted.
SIZE OF BALL: Boys ball 5th grade and under 28.5. Over 5th grade is official size ball.
Girls ball 28.5 all grades.
PLAYING UP: We do not allow the "playing up" of grade levels at any time. This includes travel. For example: if your child is doing the inhouse league and is in 4th grade; he/she could not "play up" to 5th and 6th grade. You may only try out for the current grade level of your child.
QUESTIONS: Registration related questions can be directed to Blair Gantz at bgantz@pryc.org. Basketball and Coaching questions can be directed to Larry Bracco at lbracco@pryc.org
