Instructor: Claire Sabatine is an actress and teaching artist from Rochester, NY. Since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in theatre arts and marketing, Claire has worked at the Children's Theatre of Charlotte, Hartford Stage, and as a theatre program instructor for the YMCA and Hartford schools. She has also studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC. You may have seen her in Sylvia as the title role (The Theatre Factory), the tour of Good Kids as Briana (UP Stages), The Light Princess as the title role (Three Rivers Arts Festival) or various other productions.

Her passion project is Jumping Jack Theater, a children's theatre company in Pittsburgh that creates original works for audiences who benefit from sensory and autism-friendly strategies. Jumping Jack's creative team members wear many hats but she has primarily performed, assistant directed and managed marketing and community engagement.

Most recently, she assistant directed Jumping Jack's touring production Cityscape, produced by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which is now available for booking.  Jumping Jack's sensory-friendly approach to education not only gives students tools to engage with their world but also provides a safe space for creative self-expression. She recently attended the Big Umbrella Professional Development Conference at Lincoln Center on the selective artist track to collaborate with other artists creating work internationally that exists specifically for young audiences on the autism spectrum and their families. www.jumpingjacktheater.org Claire is thrilled to join the PRYC family with Shine Brighter!
